BSC-I is the International Division of

Belgian Senior Consultants asbl/npo/vzw

Who are we?

BSC-I is the international division of BSC, Belgian Senior Consultants npo, an association of retired senior executives, civil servants and independent professional experts. Its members provide their experience, knowledge and savoir-faire on a voluntary basis. Only their expenses are reimbursed. BSC's members come from a wide range of professional and sectorial backgrounds and undertake assignments in Belgium and abroad.

BSC is a member of the international network of sister associations 'Confederation of European Senior Expert Services' (CESES).

BSC-I is the representative for Belgium of the China State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA)

Senior Consulting

BSC is not a commercial enterprise. In accordance with its statutes as a non-profit organisation, BSC serves people, companies and organizations which cannot afford commercially remunerated consultants for help.

BSC at work

Requests for international consulting work and other services should be made direct to BSC-I. On acceptance of a mission, BSC-I proposes consultants/experts with appropriate qualifications for the client's selection.

Sectors of activity

BSC-International consultants are qualified in most industrial, commercial and agricultural sectors and provide expertise in the following areas:

• chemicals, speciality chemicals, polyether, polyurethanes, ethoxylates, ammonia, urea, fertilizers, electro ceramics
• environment, air and waste pollution, drinking water
• metallurgy, iron, copper, wire and cord extrusion products
• construction, electrical heavy equipment, electro acoustic appliances, aircraft structures, car components, radar and aircraft electronics
• agriculture, potato farming, animal breeding, plantations, especially coffee, tea, bananas, industrial horticulture, post-harvest produce preservation, citrusfruit, bovine, pig and horse breeding
• textiles
• management strategy: international and domestic marketing strategy, medium-long term corporate development strategy
• ISO quality control, information technology, process analysis
• commercial banking, international banking, credit cards, micro credit
• procurement, human relations, training

Terms

BSC-International operates both in Belgium and abroad. Missions can be long- or short-term as required.

For missions in Belgium, BSC-I makes a modest charge to cover administration, insurance and direct expenses, such as transport. An all-in charge can also be negotiated.

For foreign assignments, in agreement with the client, BSC-I proposes a tariff based on the specific requirements of the mission and the cost of insurance cover for the expert. The client pays travel, hotel and living costs on actual or all-in bases.
